    KENNEBUNK - Barbara Bryant Thayer Barner, 88, of Kennebunk, died Thursday, June 10, 2010, after a long illness.

    She was a native of Melrose, Mass., born on Nov. 18, 1921. She graduated from Melrose High School, Class of 1939. She attended Fisher Junior College in Boston and upon graduation went to work for the Federal Reserve Bank.

    Mrs. Barner and her husband, George Barner, longtime residents of Kennebunkport, were active members of the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church of Kennebunk. For the past six years they have been residents of Huntington Common in Kennebunk.

    Mrs. Barner is survived by her husband, George Barner; her three child
    en, Bryant Thayer, of Boston, Kim Thayer Streetman, of Newton, Mass., and Christian L. Barner, of Kennebunkport; her three stepchildren, Barry Barner, Pamela Carroll, and Dean Barner; and six grandchildren.

    A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 10, at the Fist Parish Unitarian Universalist Church of Kennebunk. In lieu of flowers, a contribution

    KENNEBUNK - Barbara Bryant Thayer Barner, 88, of Kennebunk, died Thursday, June 10, 2010, after a long illness.

    She was a native of Melrose, Mass., born on Nov. 18, 1921. She graduated from Melrose High School, Class of 1939. She attended Fisher Junior College in Boston and upon graduation went to work for the Federal Reserve Bank.
